How the Drop 2 Sizes Challenge Works

It’s time to throw away the scale and fit into those jeans you have tucked in the back of your closet. This program will focus on both exercise and nutritional guidance including weekly accountability meetings. You’ll be working towards your goal with others that have the same goal, to fit into their jeans (dress, shirt, whatever you choose)!

Nutrition

Nutrition is an important part of reaching your goal. You will receive a sample menu, a shopping list and suggestions for making your own weekly menu.

Exercise

During this 8-week program you will participate in 4 small group exercise classes per week (2 strength and 2 metabolic) which are lead by a certified instructor. You may also attend other classes offered at Coach Mel’s.

Accountability meetings are held weekly and will help you stay on track and reach your goals! We will meet on a virtual platform to allow you to stay in the comfort of your own home.

We have teamed up with A Healing Trail Wellness Center in Harwinton as a way to congratulate you for completing this challenge. Winners will be selected by vote at the celebration party. There must be at least 5 participants in the challenge for these prizes to be awarded.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. The D2S program does not focus on calories in/calories out. We do focus on eating certain food groups at certain times during the day.

You should do a minimum of 3 workouts per week, but we strongly suggest doing 4 workouts (2 strength based and 2 cardio based). We have several workouts to choose from at various times each week. You will have an unlimited membership during the 8-week program.

Yes. In order for us to monitor your workouts, weight selection etc. your workouts must be done at Coach Mel’s.  We do encourage you to get outside for other exercise like walking, cycling, hiking, etc. when you have time. 

Yes. These meetings are meant for sharing with others and discussing how things are going and what you can do differently to make further improvements.  We have found that those who attend the meetings had better results than those who did not attend them regularly. These meetings will be virtual, you will be emailed a link each week to attend.

The duration of the meetings depends on the number of people in the program since there are times when we all share information. You should plan for the meeting to last for 30 to 60 minutes and we will NOT exceed 1 hour. Meetings are Thursday evenings at 6:30.

Yes. While we have challenging workouts you are always with an instructor who will show you modifications. Our weights start at 1 pound and currently our maximum weight is 15 pounds. There is something for everyone.

No. The types of workouts we do are designed to tone your muscles not bulk you up.

No. There are several package options available. You can do the 8-week program only or you can do the program with a membership continuing after the 8-week program is complete. Details on pricing will be discussed at the information meetings.

We actually will NOT be using a scale to determine success in this program. We will use an article of clothing that you select that does not currently fit. The goal is to have it fit better by the end of the program.
